Hello! 
This website began life as a repository rather than a blog.
As a (then) academic, I was continually being asked for copies of articles that I had written, and began (with the kind permission of the original publishers) making them available here.
I went on to write regular blog posts, and this grew into the Birth Information Project which runs alongside my paid work.
This website now houses both my older articles AND newer blog posts.
We have left this blog post – my first – up for posterity, and to mark the date on which the site began.
