A while back, I wrote an article about self care.
And I have been receiving emails and comments about it ever since. Mostly from people saying thank you for writing and posting it. And almost all agreeing that it is vital that we have regular reminders of the importance of regular self care.
This stuff is important.
So I re-post the post regularly, to remind people and to invite you to consider what self care needs to look like for you over the next few weeks.
I’m going to invite you to stop for a moment and consider – right now – what self care you would most benefit from over the coming month?
Before you read on, please 😀 (Otherwise there’s a chance you’ll get busy doing things for other people and forget! 😉 )
What would feed your soul?
What challenges are you facing?
What do you need more of in your life this next month?
Anyone who would like to is welcome to write a self care pledge down in the comments on this page or in the comments on my facebook page. Or you may prefer to put a sticky note on the fridge or just keep it in your head.
It might be something little (but yummy) that you are going to do for yourself every day, a big treat that will really nourish you or something in between. It’s not supposed to be a chore though; it’s supposed to be a way of helping remember the value of taking good care of ourselves.
Mine is to get going on a craft project that a lovely friend bought me as a thank you for helping her with her book. I’ve been saving it for when it got too cold to sit outside and I needed something to snuggle up in front of the TV with. And I think it’s safe to say that this time has come!
